Bringing a taste of Sicily to the Hudson Valley.
Ciao! I’m Jhori - the heart behind Dolce Notte Desserts.
I fell in love with Italy when I visited for the first time almost two years ago. Since then, I have been back seven times, and more counting. I’ve brought my son and my boyfriend, and they immediately fell in love, too. We became enamored with the culture, the slow way of living, and the unbelievable food cooked with love and only the best, freshest ingredients.
While traveling through Italy, I fell in love with more than just the desserts. It was the experience surrounding them - wandering into a pasticceria, watching cannoli being filled fresh to order, watching people sit with their pastries and espresso and enjoying the moment, and seeing how naturally food becomes a part of every moment.
Every return home from a trip to Italy, I felt homesick - which is what prompted me to come up with the idea of bringing Italy back home in a way that was meaningful. I love Italy so much, I want to share it with everyone. That’s where Dolce Notte Desserts came in.
Dolce Notte is more than dessert.
It’s about creating an experience that your guests remember.
Our cart brings the charm of an Italian pasticceria directly to your celebration, with crisp cannoli filled fresh in front of your guests, handcrafted tiramisu cups, beautiful finishing touches, and a presentation designed to feel just as special as the occasion itself.
Inspired by Sicily. Made in the Hudson Valley.
My son and I traveled to Palermo, Sicily to immerse ourselves in the culture surrounding the desserts we wanted to serve - visiting local pasticcerie, tasting cannoli where they originated, learning about the ingredients and techniques behind the,, and spending time with locals to learn the craft of making cannoli ourselves.
It wasn’t about coming home and claiming something that wasn’t ours.
It was about learning, appreciating, and paying homage to the traditions that inspired Dolce Notte.
Our hope is that when you gather around the Dolce Notte cart with the people you love, you experience a little of what inspired us to get there:
Good food. Good company. And a reason to linger just a little longer.
Con amore,
Jhori
